Who we are

BillCheck (the "Service") is operated by LIFEWORKS GROUP LLC ("we", "us"), a limited liability company registered in New Mexico, United States, New Mexico Business ID 7715331. Address: 8206 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113, United States. Email: admin@lifeworksgroupllc.com.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

What BillCheck does

BillCheck is a self-service software tool. It reads a hospital bill that you provide, on your own device, compares the lines it can identify with public Medicare price data published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), points out lines you may want to question, and prepares a letter and a phone script that you can send or use yourself.

What BillCheck is not

BillCheck is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. It is not a medical provider and does not give medical advice. It is not a billing advocate, a debt relief service or a credit repair service.

We do not contact hospitals, insurers or collection agencies for you, we do not negotiate or pay bills on your behalf, and we do not promise any reduction, refund or outcome. The hospital decides after your request.

Your responsibilities

You decide what to send. Before you send a letter, check that it matches your bill and your situation, keep a copy, and respect the deadlines printed on your bill. Only use bills that you are allowed to share.

Price and payment

Checking a bill is free. The letter and the phone script cost $49 (US dollars) per bill, paid once. The price is shown before you pay. There is no subscription.

Payments are processed by our payment providers. When a reseller acts as the merchant of record for your order, that reseller is the seller of record and its terms of sale also apply to the payment.

Delivery

The letter and the phone script are digital. They appear on your screen as soon as your payment is confirmed. Nothing is shipped.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 30 days of your purchase. See our Refund and Delivery Policy.

Accuracy of the information

Medicare prices shown by BillCheck are national averages from public CMS data. They may differ from local prices and from the contracts of your hospital or your insurer. The tool can misread a photo: always compare what it read with your bill. The Service and its information are provided "as is".

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the order concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Intellectual property

The Service, its software and its texts belong to LIFEWORKS GROUP LLC. The letters prepared for you are yours to use. CPT codes and descriptions are used for identification only.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
